Clobetasol Propionate + Miconazole Nitrate + Neomycin Sulphate + Chlorocresol Ointment – This ointment is a synthesis of four medicines including Clobetasol Propionate, Miconazole Nitrate, Neomycin Sulphate, and Chlorocresol. Clobetasol Propionate – Clobetasol is a topical medication that works by stopping extreme immune response of the body which is usually used to reduce swelling, redness, dryness, inflammation, crusting and itching caused by the skin issues like allergies, dermatitis, rash psoriasis, eczema, etc.
Miconazole Nitrate – Miconazole comes from the class of antifungal infections called imidazoles that stops the growth of fungi which causes certain kinds of fungal or yeast infections of the skin. Skin infections like jock itch (tinea cruris), athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (tinea corporis), and other fungal skin infections.
Neomycin Sulphate – An antibiotic Neomycin Sulphate comes from a class of drugs called aminoglycoside that fights bacteria in the body and is used to decrease the risk of infection during certain intestinal surgeries. It is also used to curtail the symptoms of hepatic coma.
Chlorocresol – Chlorocresol is a steroid with bactericidal disinfectant and antiseptic properties that prevents microbial growth and kills bacteria. It is also used to prevent infections.
Things to Take in Consideration While Applying the Ointment
- Evenly wash the affected area with water before each application of the ointment.
