It is usually used 30 minutes before the chemotherapy treatment, surgery, or radiation treatment of a patient. It starts working within 1-2 hours and it lasts about 8-9 hours. After eight hours, the dose of Ondansetron is repeated by the doctor in the treatment of chemotherapy and radiation.
