How to Use Ondansetron Injection?

Ondansetron is blended in a solution and given by injection into the vein of the patient. The usual dosage of Ondansetron is 4mg but it may differ on the basis of severity and recommendations of the doctor. It is usually used 30 minutes before the chemotherapy treatment, surgery, or radiation treatment of a patient. It starts working within 1-2 hours and it lasts about 8-9 hours. After eight hours, the dose of Ondansetron is repeated by the doctor in the treatment of chemotherapy and radiation.
